Ullambana is a day for paying respect and gratitude to ancestors as well as expressing compassion and love for all beings suffering in this world. Traditionally celebrated on the 15th day of the 7th month of Lunar calendar, this practice is based on Buddha's Teaching to his disciple Maudgalyayana on how to save his mother from suffering in hell.

We thank worshippers and donors for putting forth Ullambana offerings to repay the loving kindness of their parents and ancestors who have raised and nurtured them. The Ullambana offerings were distributed to needy residents in neighbouring villages of Merek, Sikodon Kodon & Pengambatan.

May this expression of love and compassion to fellow human beings bring joy and blessings to all our kind donors.
